By Alex WagnerThe neurology community has come to rely on the Alzheimer’s Association for information about its work, but now the organization is launching an online portal to answer questions about the condition.
The Alzheimer’s Society has developed a portal called Alzheimers.com that aims to answer many questions about Alzheimer’s, including what is the disease and how can we care for the millions of people with Alzheimer’s who live in the United States.
The new portal, Alzheimer.com, is available to everyone who wants to get involved.
The portal will feature a collection of resources including articles, videos, and news from the Alzheimer and Alzheimer Center of Excellence.
The site also will feature tools and information about Alzheimered patients and caregivers, including information about medications that can be taken to control symptoms and treatments for the disease.
“Alzheimers is a community of experts, clinicians, patients and family members.
It is a place where we can find the latest news, resources, and information to better understand the disease,” said Mark Zimbalist, president of the Alzheimer Association, in a statement.
Alzheimercare.com is the brainchild of Dr. Daniel M. Pincus, a professor of neurologic surgery at New York University.
The company, which was founded in 2008, is based in Mountain View, California.
Dr. Pince, who is also the CEO of the New York-based company, is a professor at the Yale School of Medicine and was a research director for the National Institute on Aging.
Alzerview.com will focus on Alzheimer’s care in the U.S., with special focus on the treatment of the disease in New York City, according to a news release.
Dr Pincis, a neurosurgeon, is the author of “The Alzheimer’s Pathology: Pathology and Therapy for the Elderly.”
He is also a consultant for a number of Alzheimer’s treatment organizations.
